Pansonite Vr Headset with Remote Controller Review

The Pansonite virtual reality headset is available at a reasonable price and offers the type of immersive VR experience you wouldn’t normally expect to find in a headset in this price range.

Virtual Reality Gaming on a Budget

First of all, If you’re new to virtual reality gaming, it’s important that you understand that a mobile headset, in general, is not comparable to a tethered model. There were many gamers who were frustrated by the Pansonite’s performance, expecting top of the line VR quality, but you simply can’t get that type of gameplay from any mobile headset.  But what you do get is worth the price, and that’s a decent virtual reality gaming experience that can give you a taste of what VR is like, without the hefty price tag. It also offers a gentler virtual reality gaming experience, so you won’t have to worry about headaches, nausea, or eyestrain, instead, you’ll enjoy vivid, colorful images that will definitely cause you to give true virtual reality a try.

While it may not be the best VR headset, it performs better than we thought it would and can make a great mobile headset to use during travel, long car rides, or when you need a little gameplay when you’re out and about.

Overview and Features

According to the manufacturer, they spent a significant amount of time designing this headset, with comfort and user-friendliness in mind.

The ergonomic design of the headset focuses on user comfort by incorporating an adjustable strap, flexible headband, and a deeper nose area that’s designed to reduce the amount of pressure that’s placed on the face.

This latest version by Pansonite features HD resin aspherical lenses with adjustable focus and pupil distance which can easily and quickly be adjusted using the button located on the top of the headset.

In terms of comfort, this model features a lightweight design that makes the headset very comfortable to wear with the help of the three-way strap.

This headset is compatible with a wide range of smartphones with screen sizes measuring between four and six inches. However, we found it works the best with screen sizes range from five to six inches. Screens of this size provide a better field of view.

The headset is also able to easily and securely hold onto the phone, ensuring it doesn’t fall or slide during use.

Surprisingly, this headset also comes with built-in headphones and volume controls, which is a huge plus for any gamer on a budget.

This VR headset offers the best virtual reality experience for a model in this price range. It instantly turns your phone into a VR viewer, allowing you to enjoy an immersive, exciting, fun experience in the world of virtual reality.

You can enjoy three hundred and sixty-degree panoramic photos and videos while watching a 3D IMAX movie in your own little world.

Inserting your phone into the headset is easy because it conveniently latches open in the front. Keep in mind that you’ll need to first remove your phone case before you attempt to insert it, otherwise you’ll notice that the headset will feel a little tighter and the lenses won’t line up correctly.

The weight of a headset is extremely important if you’re looking for a more comfortable alternative to a heavy, bulky tethered headset, which is why this model’s lightweight design is a huge plus.

In terms of content, you’ll be able to find plenty of apps in the Google Play or Apple App Stores.

Considering the soft, comfortable design this is actually a great headset for kids and the perfect platform for children interested in learning more about virtual reality.

  • The highly adjustable design of the headset makes it a great buy for glasses’ wearers.
  • This mobile headset is perfect for watching 3D videos and playing games and apps.
  • The soft leather and thick padding found throughout the interior of the headset provides a more comfortable playing experience.
  • Very budget-friendly, this model is perfect for beginners and seasoned gamers.
  • When wearing the headset, you won’t have to worry about the lenses fogging up. In fact, the headset is very breathable, which is a huge plus for any gamer.
  • Considering how user-friendly this model is, we felt that it would be a great choice for beginners.
  • The built-in headphones offer great sound quality.
  • The remote is pretty basic, making it easy to use.
  • Priced affordably and highly adjustable.

The included Bluetooth remote is not compatible with iPhones.

At times, getting the controller to connect can be difficult, making it totally useless.

The immersive virtual reality experience just isn’t possible with a headset in this price range, however, for the price we still feel that this model has a lot to offer beginners.

The Google Daydream virtual reality headset is another mobile VR headset that’s priced affordably, and it’s a better option if you’re looking for more title variety.

Conclusion and Rating

The Pansonite headset is a nice option for any gamer on a budget, but it’s not a model we would recommend for serious virtual reality gamers. While comfort isn’t an issue, VR quality definitely is. The bottom line is that when it comes to the type of immersive experience gamers are looking for and one that makes you forget your surroundings and focus only on the game and the VR environment, this model falls flat, and that’s okay. For what it is, which is an entry-level virtual reality headset, it does a fine job of adding a nice touch of VR to videos and games, but it just can’t compare to top-selling models such as the Oculus Rift. While it doesn’t perform like a hardcore VR gaming headset, as a mobile, low priced option we felt it truly is a great buy. Priced affordably, this headset can be best used by the beginner who’s not interested in true virtual reality. We gave this headset a rating of three and a half out of five stars for the great design, comfortable fit, and quality construction.
